Richard has presented at HH in the past and speaks and teaches at other global security conferences such as DEF CON, Gartner, Forrester Privacy & Security, and others. For decades, the EICAR test string has been used by antivirus vendors to safely test their engines without having to use live samples which could cause harm. What would happen if you took that string, encoded it into a machine readable format and started scanning various devices with it?
