We are not in the business of fortune telling or even making assumptions, but do you see an end to all this?

Jeff The Salafi view of Islam and their agenda is not an ideology that is intended to end until they have achieved their goals which is total world domination. Sounds like a megalomaniac view of the world and one that does not offer a well-defined system of government after a takeover. This is one of the distinct differences between the Salafi drive for power and domination and the Shia model driven by Iran. I don’t wish to get into this subject but recommend the book from Bob Baer entitled “The Devil We Know”.

Bin Laden’s fatwa (although not religiously authorized or credentialed to issue one) from August 1996 outlines their issues with the West.

They are always looking to replenish their ranks. The targeting of the young and women is on the rise.  Training at an early age is seen as a rite of passage for the boys and young girls are learning early as well.  Women are taking a more prominent role in the process as well.  Forums now have sections geared specifically for the jihadi sister.  Under the guise of anti-hijab and burqa activities in many European countries, these sections serve as a flashpoint of anger against these new European laws.  Religious verses help justify the use of women in martyrdom operations.  It provides permission for women to take up arms.  Many sites are using the legal battles against the wearing of the hijab as the flashpoint to stir anger and recruit women into the ranks of the suicide bombers.  It also serves to generate anger, self-identification, indoctrination and possible execution of actions by the lone wolf jihadi who takes matters into their own hands without specialized training or direct alignment with any Taliban or Al-Qa’eda group.

More recently we have seen the emergence of the angry lone wolf in the form of Major Nidal Hasan and Faisal Shahzad. Abdul Muttalib traveled to Yemen to learn Arabic and to learn how to wear PETN underwear taking the radicalization process to fulfillment.  Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan US citizen attended camps in Pakistan using the same email dead drop method to store information.

We have also seen the use of blonde haired blue-eyed women in the form of Jihad Jane and Jamie Paulin Ramirez who are reported to have ties to Najibullah Zazi.

In a form of BRAINWASHING: Colorado nursing student Jamie Paulin-Rodriguez placed her son Christian in an Islamic school in Ireland that indoctrinated him to love terrorism. The 31-year-old radical was an alleged cohort of fellow US blonde "Jihad Jane" and would-be subway bomber Najibullah Zazi.

We also have Omar Hamami better known as Abu Mansoor al-Amriki who traveled to Syria one summer during high school to spend time with his Syrian father.  An Alabama native, Omar returned to the heavily Christian south to practice Islam further indoctrinating his close friend.  Omar eventually made his way to Toronto with his friend where then were not so conspicuous and found alignment with Somali refugees and their radical Islamic cause.  He is now a guerilla leader for the Shabaab or youth movement aligned to al-Qa’eda in Somalia.

You'll be speaking at Hacker Halted again this year? What are you bringing to the audience this time?

Jeff I am always working to keep the material new and fresh so it is still early to definitely say what the content will be. Suffice to say that it will focus in more detail on their radicalization process and recruitment of other than the standard ‘profiled’ jihadi.
